How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home (Sizes 4–15)

Ordering a ring online is easy once you know your size. You only need a strip of paper or a piece of string and a ruler.

Measure in four steps

  1. Cut a strip of paper about 6 inches long and ¼ inch wide (or use string).
  2. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you'll wear the ring on.
  3. Mark where the ends meet with a pen.
  4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. That is your finger's circumference.

Then use our size finder: type in your measurement and it suggests the nearest US size from 4 to 15.

Tips for a better measurement

  • Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
  • Measure the exact finger you'll wear it on — sizes differ finger to finger.
  • Repeat the measurement two or three times and use the average.
  • If you land between sizes, we suggest sizing up for a comfortable fit.

Already own a ring that fits?

Measure its inside diameter in millimetres across the widest inside point and compare it to the diameter column in our size chart.

Buying for someone else?

Try to borrow a ring they already wear on the right finger, or use the same-size-for-every-ring option in our pack builder when you're ordering a set.
